Four-piece Amber Run are performing at the Exeter Phoenix on Monday 13th February. Joe, Will, Tom and Henry make up this rock-alternative group who are heading on a 13-date tour following the release of their second album ‘For A Moment, I was Lost’ on February 10th. The group met at school and the University of Nottingham and had their first big break performing on the BBC Introducing Stage at the Reading Festival in 2013, which led to the recognition they needed for a recording contract with RCA. Joe is the lead vocalist, whose voice is haunting and atmospheric, creating songs with a darker yet still catchy sober pop vibe, combined with deeper lyrics that allow for an introspective tone and the exploration of raw emotion. If you are a fan of Bear’s Den, Bastille and Kodaline, definitely give these guys a listen. A few seated tickets are still available on the Exeter Phoenix website.
