Isaac Indiana are a band based in Devon that have recently released their debut album Borderlines. They will be performing at the RAZZ launch party in Freshers’ Week. To find out more about the event, click here.

1. How and where did you guys meet?

Isaac Indiana used to be called Dionysus, however our lead singer quit the band. Luckily we met Andy Jackson at Beach Break Festival and the next year we were back performing at BB as Isaac Indiana.

2. How would you describe your music?

Indie-rock.

3. Are you influenced by anyone?

Musically we’re all very different, coming from different backgrounds. Andy loves his Indie, Tom used to be a bit of a metal head and Houghton loves his Chilli Peppers. We’re all over the shop.

4. Can any of you read music?

I think we can all at least vaguely read music, just like we can all vaguely play it.

5. Who gets all the girls?

Ben Houghton. Tall blonde and mysterious. You may not quite understand what he’s saying in that deep, bass-playing voice of his, but you can be damned sure it’ll be sexy. Or grumpy. Actually, probably grumpy.

6. Where do you want to be in 2 years time as a band?

Headlining Glastonbury. Or more realistically, if we were in a position where we could make a living from playing our originals, touring and recording, I think we’d all be very happy.

7. What was your favourite festival this year?

I don’t think any of us went to a festival this year. Oops.

8. What’s your latest track called?

We released our debut album fairly recently. It’s called ‘Borderlines’. Check it out at our website isaacindiana.com

9. Tell us the most outrageous thing that happened this summer…

I wore socks AND sandals the other day. Mad rad times dude. (Tom)
