‘One of Music’s best-kept secrets’ The Guardian

‘A masterpiece… Notice it now, or wait until people start hailing it as a lost classic in a decade’s time.’
NME (on The Western Lands)

Tipped to be the ‘next big thing’ and loaded with critical acclaim, Gravenhurst’s work is considered some of the best of a generation. Gravenhurst is singer-songwriter, record producer and multi-instrumentalist, Nick Talbot, who lives in Bristol, England.

Gravenhurst has been described as dark and highly atmospheric, veering between the sound of guitar bands, harmony-laden singer-songwriter territory, and a more intricate Nick Drake-esque fingerpicking guitar style. A constant in the Gravenhurst sound is Talbot’s fragile voice and vocal harmonies, intricate guitar work and unsettling and mysterious lyrical themes.

Gravenhurst wrote and recorded original soundtrack music for the film Ein Freund Von Mir.. An instrumental version of the song Nicole is featured in the acclaimed Shane Meadows film This Is England.

‘The album has the transporting quality of a good novel‘ The Times

‘Mary Epworth makes glorious, enchanted folk pop… Her new album is as varied a nosegay as you could wish for’ Sunday Times

Mary Epworth, sister of Paul Epworth (producer of Adele’s 21), is a singer and songwriter who makes music influenced by traditional English song, 60s west coast Psychedelia, and Greek Progressive Rock. Her debut album ‘Dream Life’ is fast becoming one of the most talked about underground releases of the year. The album was recorded in deep midwinter in a barn hidden away in Norfolk, a fitting setting more music with light and shade, bracing originality and immense subtlety.

Her single ‘Black Doe’ has just won Steve Lamacq’s Rebel Playlist on his 6 Music show and she was up against some much bigger names (Lianne La Havas and Bat For lashes). This shows just how popular she is becoming.

Mary has also been nominated for Album Of The Year and Single of The Year (Black Doe).

Ed Wood Jr. is an experimental math rock duo from Lille, France. The band features Olivier Desmulliez on guitar and vocals, and Thibault Doutriaux on drums. They released their first 5-track EP in April 2008.
