We’ve got a couple of shows that we think you should take notice of if you’re in Exeter over the Easter holidays…

FORMBY

Formby is a brand new show written by Ewan Wardrop and co-directed with Ed Hughes. This one-man performance follows the journey of stable boy Formby to one of Britain’s biggest stars.

Formby is showing at the Bike Shed Theatre on the 18th and 20th April.

MAYAKOVKSY: THE SLANTING RAIN

Vladimir Mayakovsky; poet; artist; playwright… a leading figure in the Russian Futurist Movement self proclaimed spokesman of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution and an opponent of the bureaucracy until his suicide in 1930.

Eccentric unpredictable with a keen sense of the ridiculous he was the master showman.

Mayakovksy is playing at the Bike Shed on the 19th and 21st of April

Salida Productions are Ed Hughes, Michael Vale and Andrea Pelaez. Formed in 2009, their first production was Romeo and Juliet with Astillero Tango Orchestra a co-production between Salida and the Mercury Theatre Colchester. The production was awarded an Unesco High Achievement Award.
