Hollywood Gods and Goddesses

As always, the arrival of summer brings with it a vast array of exhibitions, plays, films and festivals which all seem like must-visits to culture vultures. However, there is one that I’ve earmarked above all others (well, almost) and that is “Glamour of the Gods: Hollywood Portraits” at the National Portrait Gallery. Running until October 23rd, this exhibition is a celebration of the Hollywood greats from the Golden Age of American Cinema, 1920-1960. Featuring portraits of Greta Garbo, Clark Gable and, of course, Marylin Monroe, the show has opened to rave reviews and is one that I certainly plan on visiting in the coming weeks.

Summer loving,

Cyan x
